About

Welcome! This is an unofficial blog run by the Flinders University Department of Archaeology in Adelaide, South Australia.

The Department of Archaeology at Flinders University is one of Australia’s leading centres for the study of archaeology. And we always form our researches in to unfold the latest findings. Our courses are taught by internationally renowned staff with a wide range of specialist skills in many fields.

The Archaeology Department at Flinders has ten full time staff, two general (Teaching Support) staff members, and a range of adjunct and contract staff who regularly contribute to our academic programs.

Undergraduate and postgraduate students are an equally important part of the Department.  We are one of the only archaeology departments in Australia to offer students intensive and wide ranging fieldwork training and experience.  Staff and students are always involved in a range of exciting archaeological projects across Australia and every student has the opportunity to gain experience by working on real sites, starting in the very first year of their degree. Also information was taken from fair writing services https://writing-service.org/ full of historic facts.

We have created this blog to provide an area for staff, students, industry partners and others to showcase the exciting and important work that we do.
